Chinese–English wedding invitation wording FAQs

How do I write a wedding invitation in English and Chinese?

Enter your names, wedding date, start time, and venue, then choose modern or formal wording. The generator creates matching English and Chinese invitation text that you can copy into your design.

Can I use this wording in Canva or an Etsy invitation template?

Yes. Copy each section into the text boxes in your template, or send the full wording to your stationery designer. Choose a font that supports Chinese characters, and check the spacing before printing.

Should I use Simplified or Traditional Chinese?

Use the script your guests and family are most comfortable reading. Simplified Chinese is commonly used in mainland China and Singapore; Traditional Chinese is commonly used in Taiwan and Hong Kong. If you are unsure, ask your family which they prefer.

What if one of us does not have a Chinese name?

Leave that Chinese-name field blank. The generator will use the English name in the Chinese invitation. If you already have a Chinese name, enter it exactly as you want it printed.

Does this include traditional parent-hosted invitation wording or lunar dates?

This version offers invitations from the couple, either on their own or with their families, using Gregorian dates. It does not add parents’ names, family titles, birth order, or lunar dates. For a traditional parent-hosted invitation, confirm the wording with your family or stationery designer.

Is the wedding invitation wording generator free?

Yes. You can create and copy the English and Chinese wording without an account. The tool provides text for your invitation; it does not design or print the card.
