The Courtyard Monterey Park is the rare modern hotel in the area that takes Chinese wedding banquet dining seriously. Catering is handled by the in-house restaurant Crystal Palace, and couples consistently call out the complimentary tasting, the 10-course Eastern menus, and the ease of accommodating vegetarians, allergies, and other dietary needs. Service quality is a significant step up from the typical Chinese restaurant banquet.

Couples have multiple spaces to choose from. The Crystal Ballroom has 15-foot ceilings, a Bose sound system, and LED ceiling lights, seating anywhere from 50 to 300 guests for banquet dining. The outdoor patio is a popular choice for ceremonies, accommodating up to 160 guests seated. The hotel also offers conference room space where couples host their tea ceremony.

A couple of tradeoffs to know going in: it's a Marriott, which means a contemporary hotel setting rather than historic or boutique character. If a generic-hotel feel is a concern, invest in a strong decor team to bring character to the room. Outside catering is also not allowed.
