🫖 The Tea
For couples who care as much about atmosphere as anything else, Chinese Tuxedo is hard to beat for a downtown wedding. It's tucked on historic Doyers Street (that iconic winding stretch in Chinatown) inside a building that used to be an opera house. The space has 15-foot ceilings, exposed brick, and hanging greenery throughout, and it feels more like a film set than a wedding venue, in the best way.
The food is a more modern take on the traditional banquet format, offering contemporary Cantonese dishes that are as visually stunning as they are flavorful. This venue works best as a full buyout for a more intimate headcount, and the flow from ceremony to reception feels natural here: candlelit and relaxed, then livelier as the night goes on. And if you want to keep the night going, Peachy's is right downstairs: a speakeasy-style bar that makes for a genuinely fun after-party that doesn't feel tacked on.
The Vibe: Moody, refined, and deeply rooted in Chinatown's architectural history.
The Flex: Portrait shots on Doyers Street that look like they belong in a magazine.
